Villa Şahane

Villa Şahane is a privately owned villa built by local craftsmen to a high stantard in traditional Turkish style. It is situated only 5 minutes walk from Dalyan centre.

Every room has full air conditioning with independent controls. There are four ensuite bedrooms (two with king size beds and two with twin beds), three with sun terraces or balconies; and one ground floor which enables wheelchair access from outside(with disabled-friendly ensuite bathroom). The villa has a fully fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and other appliances. There is a utility room with automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board. The lounge is equipped with comfortable contemporary furnishings, with TV and DVD Player.

In the walled,landscaped garden there is a variety of interesting indigenous plants.There is a large swimming pool(with a shallow part for non swimmers);sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols;and table and chairs with special utensils for eating and drinking poolside. There is a fully fitted bar (with fridge), barbecue and a traditional kösk(with carpet,cushions and table) to accommodate up to ten people.There are mountain bikes for guests to use.

There is plenty for all ages in Dalyan - for example, on an evening there is a lively nightlife or you can go to a quiet restaurant overlooking the floodlit Lycian Tombs. The magnificent Turtle Beach and the Mediterranean border to the west of the village and the glorious freshwater Koycegiz Lake to the east are excellent for swimming and fishing. The area around Dalyan has the widest selection of wildlife in Turkey and is especially attractive to ornithologists.

Other activities include mud bathing and hot spring bathing nearby, accessed by boats from Dalyan. There is also Caunos (dating from 3000 BC), which is a nearby ancient settlement of interest to historians and archeologists; mountain biking and many interesting walks in unspoilt terrain. Further afield there is white water rafting, jeep safaris and all day island hopping.
